Salsa / Merengue / latin

Post by Alp »

I have been hoping to find a library package that addresses the lack of latin drum patterns in my nautilus and kronos keyboards.
(something for the M50 would also be welcome).
I have taken a look at some packages, but there are so many packages to sift through.
While I have purchased some packages for other reasons, none of them have what I am looking for in terms of latin drum patterns.

Would anyone have any insight into this or possibly be able to guide me to some sort link that gives a better (advanced) search option than what I am finding on the Korg store?

Thank you!

Would you like to write the patterns yourself or have someone do them ?
Do you know how to record a pattern ?
I could help you to record patterns.

Hi Dan!

I WAS hoping to be able to just plug them into the keyboard and select them when I wanted.

None of the companies that make patters/programs/combis for korg have replied to me about latin drum patterns.

I suppose that means I will have to program them myself. And that also means that i will end up with only one, very basic salsa drum pattern.

Thank you for the offer to assist. This is kind of you.
However, it is the sort of learning curve I really do not have time to focus on now or in the near future.
I am 66 years old, the brain cells are starting to die off. Learning new stuff is not as easy as it used to be.

Thanks anyhow

The built-in drum patterns include quite a few different Latin style drum tracks. There might be something that could be of use there. Search the Nautilus Voice Name List document to help in finding them.

There are a variety of MIDI drum track patterns out there, available for download. Some are paid for, others are free. An example, with a large range of different drum patterns available, is here:

https://www.prosonic-studios.com/midi-d ... -and-salsa

The drum track MIDI files can be loaded into the Nautilus, converted to Drum Track Patterns, and saved into any of the 999 slots available in the User area. The Nautilus Owner's Guide, page 169, details the process. Page 553 of the Parameter Guide is also relevant.
