Loading my first style to my 700

Post by timtrax »

I'm loading my first style into my 700 (because I'm not thrilled about the stock Polka stye.). So I'm trying to copy the polka style from my Roland BK9
I'm following instructions on a Youtube movie

Seems pretty simple :
Put style on USB drive
stick USB in 700
Hit media
Hit load
Navigate to the style. etc etc

My basic problem is, that despite having a ****.sty on the USB, the style is not appearing on the 700 - so I can't load it.
Gear: Korg Tr76, Korg pa700, Roland E50, M-audio 49 Key Rig, Roland BK9, Korg Micro-X. Logic for audio, Cubase for midi.

even if your style has extension .sty, doesn't mean is Korg style.
You can't load from Roland BK9 to Korg style, you'll need to convert the Roland style files to a format compatible with Korg.
