Hi all,
I have an EXP2 which is set on CC#04 in the Global settings, as I use it as a Dmod on a number of effects. I want to know whether it's possible, using the CC#04 mode, to control the pan of a particular timbre without changing the Global setting? Essentially I want an organ sound to be able to sweep from left to right and back again by controlling the EXP2 pedal.
At the moment, I am doing this by using to two timbres, each with the same organ programme, and each going through a Stereo Limiter where the source is the Foot Pedal. When the Foot Pedal is Off, one timbre is playing at full volume on Pan 30. As I turn the Foot Pedal to On, the volume of that timbre declines and the second timbre increases until it's fully on and the second timbre is at full volume on Pan 100. It's a bit clunky and takes up too much space (extra timbres, IFXs, etc).
I know that I could set the Foot Pedal to CC#8 or CC#10 and this would control the Pan (although I'm not sure how to get that working for a particular timbre), but I presume this means I won't be able to use the EXP2 for other Dmod functions unless I change the Global setting - not great during a show.
Is there a better way?

Re: Controlling Pan Using a Foot Pedal
For a CX-3 program, in the Amp/VC/Rotary subtab and under Main Output set Pan to L030, then Foot Pedal (CC#04) as AMS and +70 for Intensity (or opposite numbers/polarities if you want to go left pushing the pedal, etc.). You might also of course need to disable CC#04 in the Controllers - Expression section under the Basic/Expression tab and adjust the program volume to a fixed setting.
Re: Controlling Pan Using a Foot Pedal
Thanks KK, that works in its simple form.
I am also wanting to have a rotary IFX (I am using the Int-B 53 Program and it has a Rotary Speaker Pro OD) but when I turn the effect on, it centers the sound. Is it possible to have the rotary speaker function operating (I'm turning it On and Off using the joystick) and still Pan using the method you have suggested?

Re: Controlling Pan Using a Foot Pedal
For a HD-1 program, adding a Leslie/Rotary in IFX/MFX/TFX takes control of the pan settings, so it won't work. So it's best you keep your program as is or transform it into a CX-3 program, which might take a while.
Re: Controlling Pan Using a Foot Pedal
Thanks KK, I appreciate you confirming that's the case.
