I realize I haven't been here in a while but life got busy. I just watched a video with Rick Beato and Steven Wilson. Loved it! It got me interested in his upright piano. I'm still playing my old 1st gen unmodified Kronos and wondered if there was an upright piano in it somewhere.
If anybody knows and can direct me into finding it, or recommend a piano that sounds close, it would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Upright Piano
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
Gear: Kronos 73, Wavestation EX, Polysix, King Korg, Monotron and Monotron Duo, Minikorg, Moog Grandmother, my very old MiniKorg, 4 acoustic and 9 electric guitars, 1 Ibanez 5 string bass, a Steel guitar, a bunch of microphones, 2 pairs of studio monitors and other very cool toys, 1 wife and 4 cats and a lava lamp!

Re: Upright Piano
There aren't any convincing upright piano sounds in the original Kronos factory preload. I think all of the original "ROM" piano multisamples are from grand pianos. I'm pretty sure that's true of the later Kronos versions, too.
The EX67 Karo Upright Piano sound library., currently $49 from the Korg shop, has a convincing upright piano character, and is my go to piano a lot of the time these days. The various grand pianos that are availabe for the Kronos, can sound relatively clinical by comparison and, without doubt, have their place in musical performances, but I played a real upright piano recently, and my immediate thought was how good those Karo piano samples really are.

Re: Upright Piano
look! i bought that one too. HOWEVER< there are TWO things wrong with the best karo upright sample. its TOO DETUNED, and THEY TOOK AWAY SOME OF THE VELOCITY SENSITIVITY WHEN YOU PLAY EACH NOTE.
