Using samples in TR

Post by FrankKorg »

Hi!

Is possible to use sample sounds without the SAMPLER expansion?

I want to expand memory to 64Mb without the sampler expansion and load from the SD media.

Is easy to do that? Is necessary to open the module or there are a expansion bay easy to acces?

Thanks a lot in advance!

If you're loading sampled .wav you just need the RAM

Yeah, but they are contradictory. Some says it's not possible without sampler extension, some says it's possible.

I'm asking before buy, so I can't experiment by myself. I visit two shops and no response.

And what about the expansion bay? Is easy to install SIMMs?

Thanks!!

it is possible to load samples without having sampling board! i have TR61 with 64MB of RAM, and I am using a lot of samples! without sampling board!

only problem could be organising the samples, setting up the key ranges for samples... i`m using "Awave Studio" - http://www.fmjsoft.com/awframe.html - great program for dealing with samples! you can import samples from other keyboards and transfer them to korg format.

Answers to all of these questions can be found throughout this site.

I 've asked questions here myself and got no response. (Usually because the question has been asked over, and over throughout the site. I quickly learned to search around the site before asking the "SAME" questions that are asked over and over here. ](*,)

You can load samples into the TR/LE using the SC card.
see:

You can find some really good ones in the download section of this site:

Also check out the "CLASSIC THREADS" section.

Good luck to you! These links helped me out a lot! :P
