1.goto SOUND....(out of STYLE mode)

2.select the kit you need to edit..

3.press MENU>>>DRUM KIT

4. do all your editing..

5.WRITE to a USER KIT
6.DONE

if you run out of USER DKs, goto MEDIA>>>PREFERENCES and unprotect
FACTORY SOUND, you CAN overwrite ANY sound, STYLE or DK....that's is what i DO....most of the preset sounds and drum kits are NOT all that...i always overwrite them....

Hello dear Shahid:

I have tried to load the factory Drum Kits in to UserDK but it did not work at all. Than I was told by someone here that UserDK only can be loaded in UserDK section of the Pa800. Other drum kits can not be loaded there but could be loaded to the drum kit area User 1 and User 2. I even unchecked the the factory SOUND box but niether could I be able to load UserDK some where else beside UserDK and nor could I load other kits in the UserDK area. As I said I could be wrong and hope that there is a solution.

Best Regards,

Fahim, :D

hello fahim jan

i have no idea why you are facing this problem !! as i knew what i wrote on my post reply to shaid, the procedure above REALLY WORKS...

I JUST DID IT once again to see that i am not dreaming...lol ...and have done it many many times ..

all you have to do is SELECT YOUR FACTORY DRUM KIT, press "write sound"

you WILL write the whole kit into a USER DK.....or unprotect the factory sound and you CAN overwrite them.....

I DO IT EVERYDAY and second..

good luck..

Qader jan Salam:

Glad to hear from you. You have mentioned in part 5 of your post that WRITE to a USER KIT. I have tried this but yes I could write and save it in USER KIT but not to USERDK section. Hope to hear from you soon.

NOTE: I just finished my SET on Pa800 and now I am going to add your SET and also the SETs from Shahid jan and also Farhad jan. I am going to send the completed SET to Shahid bahi for his review and than I will post it here for everyone to use.

Salam Qader Jan,

I hope you are in the best of health and everything is good in good old San Fran. I was wondering Qader Jan, when are you going to post your Set for Korg Pa80. Since I have been waiting for a long time and as I had mentioned the Set you had sent was great only problem was with the variations and intros and endings:D

Salam Fahim Jan-e-Gul,

Thanks for your response. I hope you are in the best of health along with the rest of your family. I am glad to hear that you have completed the Set and it is almost ready. I wish I had a Pa800 so I could have listened to the beats. Again it is always a pleasure to have you here.

Korg Pa800 screen is very identical to Korg i30's Screen except colour and more choices for editing I am assuming.
