How good is the Micro-X?
I have a Triton Classic, but would like to know about the Micro-X. How good are the programs and combinations? Would it be a good addition onstage to add more rhythms and arps?
Is it "roadworthy" or kinda cheap build-wise?

I'd say no,it's quite fragile and could break easily, yeah cheap build quality. It does come with a case though!Synthoid wrote:Is it "roadworthy" or kinda cheap build-wise?

It's got a good number of drum kits and over 200 arps which are categorised.I like it's sound,it fits well in a mix but i found it bit quiet so i route it through the multiband on my RS7000 which gives it a lot more punch. It comes with a vst editor which really helps with editing sounds and whatever you create can be saved to your hd or with your project if you use the vst version. There's a lot to it and even the editor is complex, there are several pages with submenus and lots of parameters but it's good to have it.Synthoid wrote:What about its sounds.....arps, drums, etc?
It has twp polyphonic arps so one can be used for drums and the other for bass/synth lines. If you want me to post some examples i can

It's to navigate menus. There's also a button in the center to confirm actions like saving patchs etc, handy little padSynthoid wrote:By the way......I've only seen a picture of this unit, what is the large round button on the left (underneath Page- and Page+) for?

Here's three short clips from combis.I recorded them through the multiband on the RS7000 so the sound quality should be good.

The first is midnight jam using the two arps, the second is bell animations which is a motion sequence again using the two arps combined and the third is JazzStep DnB.Should give you an idea of the range and types of sounds the microX has but if you want to know anything else just ask

Peace
