Newbe Question

Post by Bernie9 »

I seem to be confused about the architecture of Songbook and User banks.

I don't want to overwrite the programs in User 1 and 2, but want to 1. Save programs I make from factory voices. 2. Add styles via pen drive.

If the Songbook is a database merely pointing(shortcut) to a filled user space, I guess I must fill my user spaces, unless I can use a pendrive to hold these programs. I only know to access the pen drive through the Sequencer to play midifiles.

How can you load styles from a pendrive ?, again, without disturbing the present programs ?

I have gone through the manual, but can't find the answer.

Thanks
Bernie

Bernie when you load a style from whatever source it will ask you where you want to load it to as you go thru the loading steps......you then select AN EMPTY SLOT in a user bank 1,2,3, or favorites if page one is filled go to page 2, etc.....

I forgot about "Favorites". Lot's of room there. As far as reg's are conscerned, can they be stored on PD ? I am trying to set things up for the long term. If I end up with 500 entries in songbook, where do I store the actual data ?

Bernie store the user styles in user slots or fav.......

setup a CUSTOM songbook list for all your songs setups, smf, mp3's etc ....its easier then using performances for live play

& make sure you always save ALL to a backup file
