PadKontrol + Kontrol49, will they work together?

PadKontrol + Kontrol49, will they work together?

I'm looking mainly for a keyboard that i can hook up to use with Reason 4 and Ableton's Live, as well as my PadKontrol. If i got the kontrol49, do i just hook it up to my padkontrol via the midi ouput --> midi input on PadKontrol?

would it work like that? and be able to use reason to use all the filters, NN-19, etc with the keyboard AND padkontrol?
