MicroKorg and Midi Footpedals

What all are the capability's of the microkorg when it comes to midi.

Im a total newb when it comes to Midi but i would like to have a footpedal like the Berhinger FCB1010 or similar and would like to be able to hit a foot switch and change to a different sound bank and use the expression pedals to control volume and pitch stuff.

Is this possible??

Any help or links to help would be appreciated.
