Hi,

Swarshala (Surshala) which is now Swarsystems maybe is a very good Tabla beats software, i loved it. You can tune the tabla samples very easily in it and you can select any meter for the beats you want to compose and you can make whatever sub-divisions of each count, it shows each count as a square box.

I purchased another software from them called "Swar Raag Wizard", I haven't visited the site since ages, so i don't know what changes or updates they have been doing so far.

I don't exactly remember but I think it was 1999 when I used Swarshala for the first time and then I computerized the whole Tabla Book within this software, the book called "Taal Sagar" written by my music teacher "Ustaad Badar Uz Zaman", a Pakistani Music research Scholor.

Swarsystems

They still call the complete Software SwarShala. But what looks good to me is the product called SwarTrax. SwarTrax also comes on an Akai S1000 CD. Per their info we could have 49 Indian instrument sounds on our keyboard. I know it works on Korg Triton Studio(I own one also) but not sure of Korg Pa800. Per them the SwarTrax also comes with over 1000 Indian midi files. I did send them an email regarding Pa800 and asked if it works with Pa800. Per their respond it should work, becasue Pa800 reads AKAI S1000 and also being a sampler. I asked them to mention this on their website but so far they have not. That is why I did not purchase it. Thanks.

Anything that works on TRITON works on PA800. Load it in TRITON,
SAVE it as TRITON format thebn upload the KMPs in PA800.
