Are the solo instruments under the pa1x demo category on the korgpa.com website available on the keyboard as well?

Thanks for the reply.

I'm just having difficulty in selecting the Church Organ used in the demo if anyone knows how to get into it.

Hi mrkorg,
as I know you can only listen to the demos within the keyboard but not modify or change anything.

You can also extract the DEMO files into MIDI files and check the settings in there.

Hi Mrkorg,

In Sound select (Organs) there are three good Church organ sounds - Pipe Tutti 1, Pipe Tutti 2 (my favourite) and Pipe Tutti 3. Also there a factory sample called Church Organ which is also a General Midi sound that can be played back from MIDI files using CC32=0 and PC=19 program change numbers. The sampled Church Organ is not available in a factory Sound or Performance.

Using Sound Edit mode on the Pa1x, you can create a User Sound that uses the Church Organ sample. If you need step-by-step instructions how to do this, perhaps consider getting a set of the training DVD's which will soon be available.

P.S. I can't explain why Korg used the Church Organ sample in a solo demo and then didn't provide it as a factory Sound or Performance. Nor can I explain why the in-built GM Sounds are not available for users to select and assign to the upper keyboard tracks.

Best regards,
Rob

Hi Rob,

Are you saying that the Church Organ used on the KorgPa website is not available to play on the keyboard?

Just to clarify it is the one that sounds like a organ used in a Cathedral.

BTW is it a recorded cathedralk organ or is it a korg voice/tone?

The Korg website demos are taken directly from the PA1XPro internal demos - I have found every sound from those solo voice demos...
They have to be on the keyboard - the demos are just MIDIs
When I get home I'll check out where they are for you...

Cheers

Ignore my previous post - I was having a bad day. The Church Organ is on the Organ tab, Page 5, 7th entry. You can either press the Organ button several times to get to page 5, or you can use the little right arrow at the bottom of the screen display.

Thanks Pete you are a legend :) I was wondering why in the world they would not have it on the keyboard.

Thanks Rob for the information and for everyone who contributed to this topic.

Yes, it's called "Church Organ GM" and will play from the same MIDI file. There are also two new Church Organ sounds on the Pa2x - "Church Pipes" and "Church Oct. Mix". I didn't check the Pa800 but you can read the manuals as well as me, since they are posted on the www.korgpa.com web site. Please look in the appendices where the SONG, STYLE and MULTISAMPLE tables are listed.

Regards,
Rob
