New to korg

Post by Ade »

Hi everyone

I am new to Korg after spending most of my musical life with Yamaha, but having sold my Tyros 2 have now taken ownership of my PA800.
Korg really is new to me!
It is an ex demo so have just upgraded os 1.5.1 and also 1.5 musical resources however I am still without guitar mode, presumably because I have not loaded os 1.5.0 Does that seem correct and if so how do I get this os?
Can anyone perhaps help as to why I have 120 guitar sounds in my banks and yet there are 157 in the book!
I would really appreciate some help!

Thanks

Yes you do have Guitar Mode, you just have to find out how to get to it.
I wrote a tutorial about it but noone cared to put it as sticky...try search.

Hi Ade,
in style edit mode
take a look at

Guitar Bossa
Vari 1 Accomp 2
You should have Real Guitar Mode.

Guitar mode shows up on guitar style tracks that have been recorded using it.

Hi Rikki

Thank you

Yes I see that now

When you have been so used to Yamaha I am having to learn all over again!

Hi Ade,
totally different operating system, and the Pa800 does so much more.
Not being biased as I still have my little psr1500, & my Ketron SD1+,
but I must admit , the PA800 is brilliant. I've had mine for about 6 weeks now, & it just keeps getting better.

Hi Rikki

Thats the joy of this machine, its flexibility.
As it is so new to me I haven't even started to scratch the surface!
Thanks for your help.
