Can I export drum patterns to MIDI with the X-50 ?

Post by alexdom »

I just bought the X-50 on friday, and I like many of the factory drum patterns (a.k.a the beats). I'd like to export them as MIDI files and use them with other software intruments in my DAW ( I use Cubase 4 ).

Do you know if this can be done ? I didn't find information about this in the manual.

Thanks,
Alex...

I don't think you can do that easily. The drum kit of Korg is not 100% GM compatible unless you are using GM drum kit.

But you can, send midi output to your external seq, sync the MIDI clock and record it as MIDI data, then you have to remap it to correct drum sounds.

Hope that helps,

Hi !

"But you can, send midi output to your external seq, sync the MIDI clock and record it as MIDI data, then you have to remap it to correct drum sounds."

That's exactly what I want to do, but I can't find how to do it in the user guide. Do you know where I could find instructions about how to do this ?

(I haven't checked the documentation in the CD, is that the place ? )
