ok, here is my view:
personally i DID program PA1X, but not PA2X, so i know for sure pa800 way better than PA1X, now people who travel alot, i say pa800 is the king for them, but if someone use PA2X at studio and few gigs here and there maybe he need that...
i am not sure about sampling differences as well as the guitar mode if pa2x is better, but sound-wise they can be very much the same....
i travel alot, so there is no way i can use a pa1x or 2x...
yes on board speakers , sometimes makes huge differences , while making beats or practicing !!
pa800 is only 39lb, like a new born baby !!

LOOOOL Qader Jan, Well said no wonder we don't see that many Korg Pa1Xpro's on music videos and on Stage and also aside to that the darn thing weights too much for its physique...lol. I guess Korg should come up with a Pa that will be similar to Korg i30 physique wise and the freatures of Korg Pa2x. Now that would be really nice and if they add the speakers to it that would be sweet.
And also features like instant sampling of ethnic instruments like Tar, Rubab and other wind and string instruments.
