Lights on/off

Post by Larky »

Hi all.

Is it at all possible to have the lights on the pads of the padKontrol turn off when the C output is 0? I need every pad to be a toggle, when on (127) the light is on, when off (0) the light is of.

Can I do this?

Regards.

For whatever reason, Korg decided to make this a hidden feature. You can only control the lights on a PK when the unit is engaged in "native mode" which is done by external software. in native mode, the unit responds to sysex (system exclusive) commands to change any of it's backlights.
Many people out there are programming Sysex behavior with external software, be it off-the-shelf stuff that supports sysex, like Live, or visual programming environs like MAX an PD.

I too feel a bit disappointed that it won't behave as it seemed to be advertised to behave.

hope this helps.
