Korg AX3000b Power Supply question

Post by phektus »

I just bought a Korg AX3000b from a local shop which was imported from Japan. That means japanese manual and 110 power adapter. I know the manual is available on the Korg website so no problem. However, I'm quite hesitant on trying my 9v adapter on it set to 220. I have this power adapter bought in a local hardware store that I used to put in my Behringer BDI21 (sold it already).

Now my question is, can I use the generic 9v adapter set at 220 on my Korg ax3000b, knowing that the power adapter included is also 9v but set at 110?

My generic power adapter can emulate up 12v, 220-240 or 100-110 as well as pole switch. I'm afraid to try it on the ax3000b as you know 110 appliance will blow up if you put it on a 220 socket. Although the manual says the included power supply is just 9v, so maybe I could just change the adapter to my generic and I won't need any converters.

Please provide a technical answer, aside from the usual 'use the endorsed adapter' etc. Thanks!
