Calling all "Oldies"

Post by macaddict »

I have been a member of this board for quite a little while and am aware that there are one or two aged members much like myself. I am in the early eighties, served in the British forces in the '39 - 45 war and emigrated from England to Canada back in '56. My interest in music is strictly classical and jazz. I do not perform classical music but do the occasional dance gig. In other words, I play quicksteps, foxtrots, waltzes, latin, and a few upbeat numbers.
It occurs to me that there may be others like me who would like to compare notes and indulge in the occasional chat. If so, please send me a personal message via this board. We might be able to learn something additional from each other :D Meanwhile, best wishes to all and a merry Xmas.

I don't feel like an oldie, but I'm 49 today (21st)!

I also use mine for quicksteps, foxtrots, modern waltz, etc.
My gigs are mainly playing in Hotels for coach parties, but I have a few tea dances, and the odd club or wedding gig.
The pa1x pro is the first keyboard I've found which I would consider a worthy replacement for my i30.

I think I'll also buy a pa2x pro, just because I want it, not because I need it! :) :)

Although I turned 60 this year... OMG!
Uhm...what was I saying? Oh Yeah, I still rock out on the weekends with the band, and use my Karma, and one of my 2 TR 61s (long story).
I'm havin' fun, and staying as young as possible. I firmly believe music can help keep us young longer.

Well, it took me a while to get to this - I must be slowing down. I officially became a "senior" last month. Yikes! Anyway, I'm still doin' the business. Thought you might like to take a look at a You Tube thing we recently put up.

You know what they say 60 is the new 40. I'll drink to that.
