Not really true - the
microX has more percussion samples in it's ROM and the presets are very different, which leads me to believe that the rest of the ROM is, too. I didn't find much I liked about the
X-50 out of the box, whereas the
microX ships with more useful sounds than any synth I have ever come across. It was actually a huge revelation to me - I didn't think I'd ever hear a ROMpler I would want to buy, but the
microX really delivers for us.
As stated above, the simple solution is to buy a MIDI Splitter box of some kind. They cost bugger-all and it will definitely solve your problem.
