M3 as a Recording Studio

Post by vantripper »

Anybody actively use their M3 to record complete songs with vocals and external instruments? I started playing around with the intrack sampling for vocals and if I can get good enough with it, I'll use it instead of my old Roland VSX840 8 track since it would save me a couple of steps. The steps being; 1 it records to zip disks which means I then have to record to a CD burner and then over to the computer. I believe the M3 records at a higher rate 48k vs 44k as well. Also when using the mic input I'm using a ART Tube MP preamp, so I guess I shouldn't use the normal mic input but the line input?

Having too much fun so far how about you guys!!! :D :D

I didn't even started to use the M3 as a recording stations. Too much limits, I prefer record with my little poor DAW and Cubase.

By the way, in track sampling is a very good idea to have some track recording capabilities in the machine.
