Mixing Virtual Tracks

Post by seedpress »

I'm trying to figure out how to mix together two (or more) virtual tracks that are in the same master track. I have a D1200.

For instance, I have imported a stereo wave file to Track 1-A and Track 2-A. I've imported another file to Track1-B and Track 2-B. I'd like to mix both imports together, but listen to them all combined first.

Probably a stupid question; but I can't figure it out.

Ideally I'd like to have the mix on another of Track 1 and 2's virtual tracks; so, 1-A and 1-B would mix to 1-C; 2-A and 2-B would be mixed to 2-C.

Is it possible to listen to two virtual tracks within a master track at the same time--and to mix them? Or are virtual tracks within a master track forever separated?

jazlover,

Thanks for the pointer. Found my answer by posting there.

The answer is "no", by the way. Track 1-A and 1-B, etc can't be listened to or recorded at the same time.
