KORG D8 Question PLEASE HELP!!!

I know this particular piece of equip. is old as hell, but it is all I could afford.
Okay, I just recently was given a MacBook and I have been trying to get my songs from the D8 to the Mac. How would I go about doing this???????

I tried the analog to line-in cables, but when I did that nothing appeared on my desktop or in garage band.

I appreciate any help anyone can give me THANKS
