I have an X50 and am running Vista. I downloaded the Vista driver from Korg's website, as the CD that came with the keyboard has only XP drivers for Windows. The driver install went fine, but when I connect my X50 to my laptop, it (and Sonar) don't recognize the X50. In Device Driver, it says the driver is updated, but also a window that says "The Device Cannot Start". I do have USB connected from keyboard to laptop, and did a restart of the laptop, hoping that it would recognize the keyboard
Any suggestions appreciated.!

ps. i made a little FAQ4NDRW wrote:have you installed the korg midi driver?
you then have to open KORG USB DRIVER TOOLS in the start menu
and go INSTALL KORG USB-MIDI DEVICE every time you connect your X50
if it doesn't work (i had some trouble getting the editor to see my micro-x)
goto UNINSTALL KORG USB-MIDI DEVICE select your X50 from the list (mine had it there, but said it was corrupted)
remove it, and then try install it again.
when everything is working
it should just come up as a midi port in all music programs
