ULTIMATE AX 48 BP keyboard stand

Post by Angello »

Hi everyone. Do you have some experience with this keyboard stand? I want to buy it, but I would like to hear some suggestions. Thanks a lot.

I have 2 of them.
1 in all black, and 1 in all silver.

Honestly, I think it's simply the best keyboard stand ever !!!!
Simply looks way cool, sexy, and lasts a lifetime.

I really can't fault this stand other than if you sit down while playing, it's not ideal. But if you stand, you really can't buy a better stand.

Regards.

Thanks for reply.
I exactly need it for concerts, where I usually stand. At home I have normal X stand.
But I have one more question. Is that stand stabile?A lot of people dissuaded me from buing stand like this, because they have bad experience with it's stability. I think it is a lot better than X stands.

Hi!

I totally disagree with what they say!
I've got a K&M Spider Pro, which is similar to the Apex...I use it live, and as I play manly pop and rock stuff in clubs, I move a lot while playing, I should say I dance, too...but my stand never dance with me, it's rock solid!
With me, X stands aren't good not even to play while sit.
I've got one of them and deeply desire to buy a more stable mixer-stand, something 4 tiles, for a stage piano i.e.
Consider that my Spider it's known to be less stable than Apex...so don't warry, buy that, you'll find it the best stand ever!

I think it is a lot better than X stands.
An X Stand wouldn't even remotely compare to an Apex for stability. The X stand when rocking gets into a sort of swing that grows, where the Apex can't do that. The Apex is greatly restricted in it's movement because the triangular column is so solid that it does not bend or deflect. And it's position under the keyboard does not transfer weight from side to side in the same way.

Even the way the legs connect make it far superior for restricted movement.
A lot of people dissuaded me from buing stand like this, because they have bad experience with it's stability
For it to be unstable you would really need to have it on a think bouncy stage, or very thick carpet. But any stand will rock like crazy in those conditions.

If I where asked to really push for something bad to say about it, then the only think I could say is that while the keyboard will sit totally rock solid on it. If someone comes up and leans on the back corner of the keyboard, then the keyboard will lift like a Sea-Saw. Takes a bit of a push, but it can happen is someone does go and lean right down on the corner.

Regards.

I`ve been using one for at least 15 years....not as much frequency over the last few years but this is one reliable "baby". It holds my LE-88 and Korg C-3 combo organ in a stable mannner over the course of a four-hour gig even when the floor is rockin` which usually happens with the temporary stage units set up at some of the the venues. Go for it!
