Floppy FDD to SD Card or USB adaptor?
Is there any floppy FDD to SD Card or USB adaptor?
This way I can replace the PA-50's FDD and read/write to SD card or USB stick.
A 1G SD or USB is 100x the space of a floppy! It would be perfect. save all the styles there. No software or hardware mod (Apart from replacing the FDD with this adaptor).
If you know or have such a thing, contact me, I'm willing to pay.

FDD adapter
Yes, the FDD is the weakest point of the PA 50
I was thinking of using also some adapter to read my cards instead.
BTW The FDD adapter linked above is sold out.
I found instead http://www.amazon.com/Viking-FDD-flash- ... B00004TENU
(but also unavailable), http://www.ciao.co.uk/Sony_FDD_flash_me ... r__5429280 (but I don't use memory sticks), the Sandisk Flashpath (but look at the review http://www.streettech.com/archives_hard ... hPath.html, and you'll be discouraged)
So probably I did not do a bad thing by buying a USB FDD only for that (on eBay for less than 10 EUR).
Or alternatively, maybe someone could make a nice program to do transfers via Midi (as part of the PRM effort ?)
Regards

I was able to get a FDD adapter that works with a smart media card off Ebay. I haven't tried it yet as I don't have a smart media card - thought I did, but must of got confused with my SD cards etc. Waiting for a cheap smart media card to come up on ebay.
I am not sure how it will go, as the instruction manuals only talk win98, so it might be a bit dated...
will let you know how I go.

Floppy to USB adapter
Which one works best?
I would love to find some kind of adapter that plugs into the floppy drive my keyboard and lets me use Flash drive sticks.
Thanks for any help!

Hi guys
I have never owned a PA80 but if it accepts HD FD then you may wish to consider the USB floppy emulator drive (lots available on e-bay). I have installed these successfully on my Korg Karma and my Yamaha QY700 - excellent little drive for only about $30.
I do not know if the PA80 houses a standard FDD but I would assume so.
Cheers
