Help! Trying to use a Triton Rack module with Ableton Live

Post by cmtbrink »

Help! I am trying to use my triton rack with Ableton Live 5.0. I am using my Korg x3 for the keys and the rack for the sounds. I want to run them into the MIDI channels in Ableton Live so I can record my music.

How do I go about doing this?

I did purchase a Edirol UM-1EX, a MIDI to USB interface.

Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Midi will let you record the keys you press on the keyboard, or send the notes to the rack to trigger the sounds, but not record audio from either one. Midi is only music data, not music sounds/audio. To record audio you'll need to hook the audio output of the rack/keyboard to audio inputs on the computer sound card or input box. The rack supports S/PDIF optical digital output, so that would be the preferred connection.
