Sounds like you need to switch your buttons from toggle to momentary. I imagine you could do this with the editor software or on the Zero8 itself...I use my padKontrol in a similar manner.Dj-Grobe wrote:In some chanells i use buttons AB crossfader asignators like MIDI PUSH BUTTON for play and for stop clips, but buttons need to be prssed 2 times and no have midi feedback...................

Zero Edit Software. I am having the same problem that was posted here - and it leads me to believe that the editor software isn't working properly, or that I missing a step so that even though I am making the changes in the software - it is not loading those changes to the mixer.
When I was programming my nanopad I would have to load the scene data to get the changes out to the nanopad. What is done with the Zero 8 as there is no similar thing?
Meaning, I change a button in the editor software to momentary - but yet nothing happens on my mixer, even after remapping it in Ableton?
I open the editor first - and then I open Ableton, I believe this is the way the manual/directions stated to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can figure things out!!

Ok - sorry -- found it in the search finally - haven't tried it yet - but this appears to be my answer as to why I am having trouble ---

I got it working. Here's what I did, everyone.... in case you care.
1. Boot up Ableton.
2. Open ZeroEdit
3. On the top Menu Bar, select MIDI.
4. Set the MIDI Input and Outputs to Auto Detect.
5. (ZeroEdit downloads settings from Ableton)
6. Goto the line 11, and set it with the following: CC Max = 127, Min = 127, Toggle
7. Repeat procedure for rest of your channels.
8. Save and close ZeroEdit.
9. In Ableton, set the MIDI for the Cue buttons to Absolute.
That's it. Now when you hit the button once, the button lights up and activates your Cue in Ableton. Hit the button again, and the light goes out and the Cue deactivates.
