Micro X Editor in Logic Express 7.2

Post by 2303107 »

Hey Kids!

Thanks for taking the time to read this post! I bought my Micro X yesterday (what a piece of kit). Everything is up and running however, I am really struggling to get the Editor to load up in Logic Express.

The specific trouble I am having is getting the MicroX editor to appear as a VSTI in Logic. I run the Minimoog V, Korg legacy collection and these appear without any trouble at all. The MicroX editor doesn't though.

I'm sure this is more user error as opposed to technology error so, any help would be gratefully appreciated! :-)

Set up = Mac Pro 2.8GHZ QUad Core
Micro X
Logic Express

hi, i thought if you save the editor as a vst plugin it automaticly detected your software you are using?

i dont know about mac's

but with my pc, sometimes i have newly installed plugins not show up if they are installed to the wrong folder

eg. normally for me i have some .dll files go to steinberg/vstplugins
(i primarily use cubase)

but sometimes it ends up in other folders
it should ask you to specify a folder when you install the plugin
though you can move them around yourself

and in most sequencers you can specify it to search multiple VST folders
but not all of them
my friend has ableton 6 on their laptop, and half their plugins were missing
and it was because they were split between 2 folders
Sonar was set up to search both folders
but ableton can only add a single VST folder.
so i just condensed them all down to a single folder and everyone lived happily ever after in toy town

something to check anyway.
