D3200 import from Mac-burned CD

Post by sleepconvention »

OK, here's the deal. My buddy has a 16-bit 44.1KHz stereo WAV file from me which he wants to import into two track on his D3200. He only has a newer iMac hooked up to the Internet, and it happens to be the only computer with a CD burner on it. So I send him the WAV, he burns that on the Mac out to a new data CD-R. The resultant CD comes up on his Windows box just fine. He can see the CD and the WAV file on it. But when he takes that over to the Korg, and performs a track import, the display shows that there is nothing on the CD. It says "Getting information..." and then shows nothing. He's got another CD full of WAV files that I burnt on my Windows Vista laptop and snail-mailed to him a while ago. He can insert that CD, and the Korg happily reads the files from it and imports as designed. What's up with the CD he's burning on the Mac? If he can work with the disc on a Window machine, why wouldn't the Korg be able to work with it? A rapid response to this would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks!
