Well, I'm not a pro or anything close but I have a very good ear for music and much experience on a keyboard so when I pick up a Guitar I can play pretty decently. I only pick for now. But i can play some pretty cool stuff and riffs with it without any lessons. My brother, who is much better than I, has taken lesson for about 2 months and can play, in my opinion, pretty darn good!

So yeah i'd say its pretty easy to pick up. And yes dare to learn it! I'd say you will be very glad you did. Just find a teacher anyone and take a couple lessons. Sometimes it doesnt matter the teacher, you can learn a lot from a bad teacher!

Best of luck and I hope you do well!...btw a Spanish Guitar sounds awesome!

Guitar is pretty easy to pick up(Pardon the Pun)I learnt 3 years ago,you have to approach it in a naive way,Basically forget all the conventional Keyboard approach to playing, especially if you have learnt to play music for so long on one particular instrument.
I learnt myself from Various Books etc,was difficult at first remembering all the Chord shapes, and found it hard trying to get my fingers to get into the Positioning whilst trying to Keep time, but after a few weeks of plenty of practice it comes together,I learnt on an Electric,so the strings made my fingers a little sore at first until the Pads of my fingers grew harder and used to them.I'm no Jimi Hendrix but i can play to a good standard now.Just with anything Have patience to learn and always have plenty of Practice
Great fun,one of the things I have always envied about Guitarists was the ability to simple just play music wherever and whenever(Acoustic) something I could never do with a Keyboard unless I took along a load of amps etc!Now I can.

What kind of Guitar though?..Electric/Rock (hendrix/page etc), Acoustic(Oasis/Mc fly, beatles), Classical (Williams/Bream/Segovia).OmarNoori wrote:is it easy to pickup? do i dare try to learn it haha, any tips? thanks
Anyway, there some good tutorials out there for all kinds of guitar, and http://www.amazon.com/eMedia-Guitar-Met ... B00005RQRM is a decent place to start.

Whatever your guitar, Don't Fret, because no instrument nis easy to start of with (if you play an instrument already, other instruments are (generally speaking) easier to learn than someone who's never picked up an instrument.
