Program Change - where?

Post by Piodes »

I greet all heartily!

To apologize for my tongue {language} but I use the translator.

I possess klawiature master XBOARD 61 + Korga Legancy Collection Digital Collection.
I seek the list "the Program Change" that to fit sounds with KLCDC to the keyboard.
Nowhere in the specification has written on which sound happens the program change, the bank etc.
Very please for the help, I greet, Piotr!

Most of the program change info is in the MIDI Implementation Chart in the M1 manual.

Bank select: MSB: 0, LSB: 0-25 to specify the bank

Combination mode: Received on the Global MIDI channel to change the combination. Received on the timbre’s MIDI channel to change programs on channels that do not match the Global MIDI channel.

Multi mode: Received on the track’s MIDI channel to change programs.

Program mode: Received on the Global MIDI channel to change programs.

The WS *should* respond like the hardware WS, but from it's MIDI Implementation Chart it seems to not support bank changes...

Hi Ben,
First thanks for the response.Yes M1 seems to work just perfect for bank changes, but WS doesn't for some reason..Maybe they just need an update to an already great working and great sounding synth. I'm not sure who or whom I can contact to put a request in,but maybe if a few of us do this they will consider the update.

Thanks for the response.

Hey guys, I've just tried this with the Wavestation and it works!

Of all the Korg synths, the Wavestation is the only one to use just Controller 32 for its Bank Change. So you insert a CC32 with a value of 0-17. But note that the Bank won't change unless you also insert a Program Change on the same tick (value 0-50).

Kind regards.

Ah yes - no bank changes are mentioned in the original Legacy Wavestation manual or MIDI implementation chart, but they *are* documented in the v110 update manual - so it seems bank change support was indeed added in one of the updates along the way.
