Accent off- but keyboard still playing loud?

Why does the keyboard continue to sound louder than the part I am recording or playing over when the accent is switched off (having never beer used in the song)? Iwould have thought they would play at the same level having taken the accent out of the equation. Can I stop this? Ta

yeah, on my esx, the volume is always a little louder when I trigger thigs "live", as opposed to playing back a sequence.
no idea why, but it does not have anything to do with the accent.

I think it might be that I still had the accent switch on... even though I had all the keyboard accent buttons off. But surely if they are off then the accent switch button should make no diiference?.I still have not got my head round this yet. But I tell you what though.. I have just realised you can record a motion sequence on the accent part... and it's great fun.

Also, on the accent part, the volume still changes the relative volume of the muted and unmuted parts for the drums or synth.

At one setting the muted and unmuted parts have the same volume. At the maximum setting I think the unmuted parts are silent. There's a little diagram in the manual that shows that the various volume settings do.
