Hey, each month we're getting more and more stragglers. Please tell me its the summer doing it and not that some of us are dozing at the wheel?

Mostly, it's summer for me, but generally speaking, there's so little interest in music on this forum that it starts to seem unimportant after a while.
Sorry, that's just how I see it, when songs are posted at forums much smaller than IA, there's much more discussion, and just interest in general, which makes it more fun, and interesting.

I have to agree with Stephen to a point...,

I have been out of it a bit, as the music is not clearly understood and discussed at times, .., giving way to other considerations. (??)

I will try to keep up the material I comment on a little better...I am getting a bit sloppy, as it takes several listens to really pick out the MUSIC values instead of just "love it"! comments we seem to make often..Summer has slowed me down and I have had a lot going on in many ways recently.....

HOWEVER.., note this:

All members don't have a specific background in structure; they know what sounds nice, and say so..., and that is really the meat and potato's for us to take note of!!!

You will find some of the more musical forums to often be rather "elitist", in my opinion, with a "better than the rest" attitude from some of the members..(whether or not it is really true...)..., And I left several for that very reason in the past...We've only had a couple like that at this forum..........................

I believe we are a good balance, but we ARE failing to develop..AND comment in true musical understanding...At times we seem to be more a "sound engineer" forum...BUT!... maybe actually thats what we are?????????

Just a few points that we might think a bit more on....

John...(ellll)

Yea - summer and much other stuff going on - so I am not around as much as I would like to be. That may change in Sept. for me.
