Hello I purchased my R3 a few months ago. I love it. Just now I played it and no sound was coming out of the Right output jack, or out of one speaker when i use headphones. everything else seems to be working fine. I reset to factory setting and still no help. What could this be?? when i hit it hard enough, maybe a little crackle comes out of the other side.
I purchased an R3 in May and exactly 31 days after I received it, the right channel died. The left channel was fine, but the right channel was silent, except for an occasional burst of white noise. Fortunately my dealer was kind enough to exchange the unit anyway -- even though I'd gone past their 30-day exchange period.
My R3 has a similar problem, but it's intermittent. It also seems to affect volume.
Sometimes it goes away if I reconnect my headphones or change the 1/8" to 1/4" jack adaptor. This suggests it's just a bad connection or adaptor, but even the right channel output dies when the phone's right channel is silent. Also, the problem seems to go away with time, it's very strange.
Since my warranty is over, I've opened my R3 to check for faulty connections. It seems fine as far as I can see. The jacks are "sealed", though - can't open them to check their connection.
