Zero 4 question

Post by DJSnowie »

I was wondering if anybody on here can help me with a problems.

Question: Can the zero 4 with a cdj/turntable running a track at say 130 bpm send the bpm to ableton so the tempo's sync up ?

Basically i would like to be able to go between playing a record, and ableton, with ableton sync'ed on the beat of the record. Is this possible ?

It is possible to have the mixer send MIDI clock to Ableton and the software sync to the clock.

However, this sync is not good enough to beatmatch for playing live to a crowd. You will need to manually beatmatch the music by controlling that MIDI clock data on the Korg.

With my Zero 8, when the mixer is sending MIDI clock data you can turn a rotery encoder to adjust the BPM being send via MIDI. I must use that encoder to ride the pitch through the mix.
