ESX "save all" and "load all"

Post by Milhouse »

So I have been working on minimal techno and hiphop beats for awhile now. A friend of mine asked me to make beats for him. So now im running out of room on the korg. I have been thinking of doing the "Save All" and then delete my techno to make more room for my hiphop projects. Has anyone had any problems saving everything and then reloading everything later on?? Plus if there are samples/patterns on the korg will it over write when you "load all".

if you are backing up your stuff keep it on 3 different sources

i usually keep the file on my card, my computer, and burn it to cd

i have had some problems with it reading the card but usually i can go back to my computer and reupload the file and be fine

the esx file saves all the samples in it so with each save file you can have a completely different set of samples

and yes when you load all it replaces everything with what is in the file you are loading

if you mean save onto smartmedia card, no problem at all. I keep two 128 MB cards for my ESX, it's like having 2 machines, as one has a whole other set of samples and sequences on it. I also have a 16MB card I use to transfer samples onto the ESX: SMartmedia may not be the best storage solution, but it does the job.
