Lost my dongle

Post by photon »

It was bound to happen someday. In the process of moving to a new apartment I have lost my dongle with KLC analog & digital on it.

What happens now? I have lots of projects with M1,Wavestation,MS-20 and Polysix, and Ableton Live quits when I open sets without the dongle. I´ve got the feeling that I´m pretty much f***ed now.

Or can I buy a new dongle and transfer the licences?

I am real sorry to hear that you have lost your USB Dongle.

Looking back at my Korg Legacy DE Setup/Instalation guide I gather :

1)If the USB key is damaged, a repair fee will be charged

2) Korg provides no guarantee for a lost or stolen USB key hence, the product will have to be purchased again if the key is lost or stolen. The product here could mean the software. I am not sure but you could contact Korg or your Korg dealer. If I lost my key for the Korg Legacy Digital then I think I would have an excuse to purchase the Korg Legacy Analog Edition as that should come with a key that could also work the digital edition - I hope.

I could imaging your feeling-It is like buying a new car and misplacing its keys- The car is of no use without them.

Good Luck

That sucks. You should be able to do something if you registered your software.

I guess that's the real reason people hate dongles.
