How, with an Oasys to REC a female voice, but, sounding like a male voice....?
from IFX, perhaps, but, I could not find yet, the proper way to do a nice and warm male voice...
Thanks you

I'm not with my Oasys now, but you can do it by using effects. I've done in the past shifting the pitch in real time. It's not so bad for a few semitones but changing from female to male range could sound artificial to my taste.mozartella wrote:How, with an Oasys to REC a female voice, but, sounding like a male voice....?

Icmorley,
I don't think it's appropriate to make remarks about someone's english who clearly grew up with another language as their first.
The reality is, I could understand her too, and I certainly could not do as well in her language.

Oli,
You can do it!
Use low-pass-filter. . .not too much.
When you "fuss" at Kat-Kat, use that low, gravely voice.
Breath deep, open mouth, sing like Tony (in French with Hungarian accent).
Fake it. You can do it!
Hope Tony is not in too much discomfort and you as well.
God Speed,
Pilgrim

I am always amazed and impressed by people that don't speak or write English as their first language but still take part on the forums and manage to operate their synths which all have English user interfaces.
So many Dutch, Italian, French and Scandinavians have an extra impediment when using the Oasys which we English speaking people don't have, but still they are digging in there.
Bravo I say !
Daz.

Ken, thanks for your support, this is why, members all over the World, try to grasp some really needed explanations, coming into a nice forum where Daz is a Gentelmen, and, sorry to be harsh, but, the majority of members, do NOT and speak and read english, and, because, english is the master those days, anyone, must use it....Also, when buying an hardware, guess what, always or at least 95 % of the explanatory books are, in english, of course... on 8 billiard human beeing, some still speak another languages.....kenackr wrote:Icmorley,

But, in fact, my question, was,,,,,
if using some softwares or plugins or VST, when you record a mono female voice, with no effect, first, what kind of effects could be used to make it sound better...I mean, compressor, reverbs, yes or not...or...? does someone knows a link for tutorial on how to REC a voice, and, or change the pitch, etc, etc....?

thanks, merci, obrigado, danke, grazie, gracia, koszonom, and peace....

tell me....how did you do it? witch IFX did you used on your audio track, for the pitch shifting?ldascanio wrote:I'm not with my Oasys now, but you can do it by using effects. Dear Idascanio, thanks for your help, Buenos Aires,
I have already tried with the Oasys and a Mic, and my mic, I suppose, not the best quality, a Fender P-51 but, to give it a try, or, at least, LEARN, I did connected, the mic, and plugged it into Oasys, and for output, either to L\R, and also, to IFX1, then, I opened a combi, even severals combis, even with just programs, to try with the differents IFX effects, and yes, this is a wonderfull experiment, but, where could I find a kind of receipe, telling me, beside using any kind of externals softwares sequencer, what would be the best approach, when using IFX from OASYS, to correct a pitch or a dormant effect? witch one or? witch IFX to use...? I already saw, I have too much reverb, and, yes, my try is a strange result, not a machine, not a VST, not an IFX would, I think never replace a good an warm male voice....
you arer also right, if a voice either male or female is recorded, when using pitch shifting, the result is not very good, maybe when I would be 100 years old...then I would not try to make music anymore
thanks again for your help......

and, beside, I am an awfull female singer

When going from female to male or vice versa, it's not just a case of changing the pitch but also the Format frequencies. In the same way that a violin is not just a higher pitched cello, because the body is a different size, you need to account for that. A piece of software such as Melodyne Uno would help you there and is probably a little more accessible than buying a V-Synth GT
