m3 piano roll kinda useless...

Post by bkboy »

the graphics look good, but the realtime image processing is very slow, so we can't really 'monitor' the notes on the track play screen or the piano roll screen with zoom...the cursor moves slower than the actual music.

this may be more of an adjustment problem than the software itself...what is that i must do to get it up a bit?

Have you tried the "Setup" button in the piano roll screen. There are a couple of different setting for how the cursor moves.

I'm in total agreement. I'm a very visual person. Motion is very important here. In fact, for the motion issue, I think GarageBand beats the pants off most DAWs in how smoothly its piano roll animates/scrolls. Smooth motion is one of those things that's been a very late addition to computer GUIs & most computer geeks just write it off as Apple gimmickry. Those people don't get it.
