using differnt effects for different drum parts

Post by rckandorroll »

Is it possible to have one of your drum keys FX send effects be reverb but have another drum key be a short delay, or anything else for that matter? I've been having such trouble because if i have the effects knob set at short delay and send the drum part through (lets just say the bass drum), it'll have the delay. but when i want to have reverb on the snare, i turn on the FX Send button and move the effects knob to "Reverb" but then that makes my bass drum have reverb instead of the delay it was originally set to.

I'm sure there's a very simple solution i just can't seem to find it.

thanks

You have 3 effects total to use between ALL drum and synth parts. If effect 1 is set to reverb, all parts sent to effect 1 will have reverb.

ok, lets say you want to have a snare with reverb and a hihat with delay.
click the Edit Select button in the effects section so that FX 1 is lit. Turn the knob to reverb. Then click the Edit Select so that FX 2 is lit. turn the knob to Short Delay. You now have FX 1 assigned to reverb and FX 2 assigned to delay.

Now select the Snare part you want to effect. In the Parts Common section, press FX Select until FX 1 led is lit. You know have Snare going thru FX 1. The select HiHat and press FX Select til FX 2 is lit.

one more note: make sure the fx chain is not activated, other wise you will be feeding the effects into each other, so for instance if the top led is lit any part you are feeding to fx1 will also go thru fx 2.
