can i put pcg and ksc files into TR or into a SD card? And how?
Try loading the PCG files from your computer onto the SD card, then once you insert the card into the TR, press the MEDIA button, and the LOAD screen appears, you won't need the USB connection for this proceedure.
any one can exactly how i can move Korg Tr sounds to my PC and how i can i move new sounds to Korg TR ( i have USB cabel and SD card). And wich program i need to have if i wana chanche files on my pc and put in Korg tr sounds and put there ( in korgt TR data base )
P.S. sorry for my bad english i will hope you will understand that i mean
There is no direct access to the card through the USB.
you will need a seperate card reader attached to your pc in order to load files from the internet onto your TR.
if you want to save stuff from your TR, go into media mode, to the save tab, and choose to save songs or pcg from the TR
there is no way to edit TR's .pcg files directly on the PC, it is mainly for storage and sharing programs etc e.g. via the internet.
There is a program someone has made as an editor for the TR called LeLibby. havn't played around with it extensively but it seems quite useful for editing from the PC.
What the USB CAN do is:
- provide midi in/out from PC to TR
This is generally useful if you are using software sequencing, and the only external unit you use is the TR. you can plug the USB in and use the TR's keyboard as a midi keyboard to trigger softsynths etc. and you can route sequences out to the MIDI on the TR.
in SEQ mode you can use all 16 tracks for different sounds, but remember you are limited to a total of 3 FX (1xIFX, 2x MFX) and the MEQ. you will also need an audio interface to actually record the tracks from your TR to the computer as the USB does not carry any audio data, just the MIDI.
furthermore, using the USB will disable the MIDI ports (I assume this has something to do with the number of serial lines provided by the CPU in the TR). so you can't use USB and MIDI at the same time.
so if you are using more than one unit or MIDI gear, I would reccommend not bothering with the USB-MIDI, and get an external PC box instead.
Or some synths (like I use RADIAS), will provide MIDI out acting as a MIDI interface box.
yeah i know i have SD canrd and card reader. Seems somethings understantd but can you explain how all sounds wich are in my Korg TR data base i can copy to my PC ?
I haven't read of anyone doing that... taking the sounds from thier TR to the PC.
What would be the purpose anyhow? Sharp has already stated that taking any Korg sounds and attempting to put them on another keyboard is against the User Agreement.
What other purpose could you have than doing that, in taking the sounds from the TR and putting them on the PC?
