Combination saving problem

Post by ericzeiler »

I established a bunch of Combinations awhile back, with a few layers of programs, mixer setting, zone settings, efx, and it worked/saved fine. Now I am trying to change some of the settings (zones, mixer, etc.) and resaving by going to "Write Combination." It appears to be saving, but when I power off and back on, the changes are gone, and I am back to the settings from initial combination save.

Does anybody have any experience with this? I would think that saving future changes would require be the same process as the initial save, but maybe I am wrong?

Thanks!

Seems strange.
When you say you are changing settings do you mean turning any of the real time knobs?
This should be the only stuff that doesn't save with the combi.

Have you tried a master reset to see if that cures it?

Nope, no real-time knob changes, only things like the timbre mixer, zone controls, octaves/ranges of timbres. Is there an alternate way to save rather than clicking on "Write Combination"?

you could always load the combi into a sequence and then save the sequence. You'll also get 16 channels to play with rather than 8.
More worryingly you need to find out why your combi's won't save. Is it all of them or just certain ones?

Pressing the Record button on your transport controls will save a combi.
Also, check in your Global settings to make sure you don't have any memory write-protected.
