to record directly onto laptop

could u help me in using the nuendo software..
i have triton xtreme.. i want to connect it to this software to record many tunes directly... it has a USB port as u know... the software is able to detect korg (drivers for korg r installed).. may be i am inches away.. but i'm not ablt to connect....

is this the rite software i'm using?

The USB port does not send audio directly to anything. You may record what you play, and send a ".wav" file to your computer via the USB port. The only digital port that carries sound (as you play it) is the optical port.

I just got an E-Mu 0404 USB interface. It's a big bang for the buck. Give it a look.

*** Note ***
You can send MIDI via the USB port...but this is not sound...only data.

You can simply use an audio jack output of your keyboard, and send that into the line-in/microphone input of your laptop.
