Problem with MIDI port

Hi,

I am having problems with my classic.

1.Midi out doesn't work
2. It takes some time to get a sound after power on.THere's a delay of about 15sec before you can actually hear a sound when you play the keys after initialization.

I have upgraded the OS to the latest version and checked Midi settings to their proper order but the problem is still there.

I hope someone could help.Thanks
