loosing quality when sampling

Post by gilbertati »

i'm trying to sample drum loops and single drum shots
but compared to the factory samples and shots
i think i'm loosing alot of the quality
anyone had this problem ??

(my loops and sample shots and normalised to the maximum and i'm using the loops out of Stylus RMX )

are the samples from the origional stylus disk or have they been compressed and decoded along the way

Maybe its just the pre compression and processing of the factory samples that sound different... try downloading them from korg and load a few up for an A/B comparison

on my pc the loops are excellent but on the esx1 they sound like coming out from a radio comparing to the factory loops

do you think there's a way to give some gain to my samples on the esx1 ?

It is a flaw of the machine. I can't figure it out either. It seems as though any sample I put on it will lose punch and clarity :(.

Hmm well then I'm talking about something else :) Nevermind, I still feel like there's major quality loss when putting samples onto the machine.
