problem with pitch of 1xpro

Post by milo »

Hi korgFriends,

The pitch (modulation) of my pa1xpro doesn't turn to the middle anymore.(when i release it) So i get false sounds sometimes. :( Does somebody got experience with this?

I hope i don't have to bring it to the dealer...because that will take a lot of time.

Thanxs for the help

it works good, but the problem is that the stick doesn´t return to the middle. It does back, but not precise in the middle.

The joystick is very easy to replace and shouldn't be too difficult to get.

Search this forum for joystick and you should find some assistance (sorry can't do that at the moment else I would have helped more).

Keep us informed...

Cheers

Hi Pete, thanxs for your response.

I have search in the forum for information. Does it really need to be replaced?
Because it is working, and it is getting back, but not exactly in the middle.

I don't know how the system of the pitch works, but i have a roland keyboard and the system works with a feather. So that is easily to repair if it gets sticky. But of xpro i saw it is a close device. Maybe a stupid question, but will a bit of oil helps?

What you recommend me to do?

Never, never use OIL or other cleaning product
I cant remember exactly how to do, but there are a way with a build in "test menu" where you can check many point in the keyboard 8) Maybe Wittid or other members in here have the procedure :?:

There are a "spring" for the "0" position, but I dont think it is the probs.
First of all, insert the OS again with "INTRO" and after that check the keyboard again (power off and on again). It can also be a bad connector plug or the potentiometer inside with the Pitchbender there have going loose between plastic and Potentiometer (I mean its a tiny screw)
Keep us informed.

Ok thanxs for the advise

But the problem is that i can see when releasing the joystick it won´t stop precise in the middle. It stops just before the middle.

You said something about a tiny screw, i think also that something got loose, but to check it i must open the pa right.

Have you opened your pa, can you give me some good tips for opening it :?:

hi all,

I have opened my pa. It is indeed easy to remove the pitch. I have found the problem. It is the feather inside the pitch that gots weak. I think the fearther must be replaced by a new one. But i can´t remove the feather. does somebody have done this? Or do i have to buy a whole new pitch?

The first thing i did was reinstall the OS

But i am shure it is the pitch itself, i can see that the stick don't go to the middle anymore...

Hi milo

(sorry for delay) I had this exact problem on my i30 - however I think it can only be fixed by replacing the stick (maybe someone else can say otherwise??)

Cheers
