Have you checked out the awesome "Crunch Gtr DNC" in OS2 ???
I LOVEthis sound and it has the classic "mute" using DNC controller 2.
I have now assigned the DNC sound controllers (SC1 & SC2) on my EC5 - magic - very playable now (still learning though ) !!!
And that "Jimmy Smith" (DNC) organ
And that ........
Sorry, I'll shutup - just a bit excited - only upgraded last night.
Have fun

Hi all,
Pete, I'm glad you like the new O/S.
In 1964, my Mum and Dad ( both sadly
not with us ), took me and my big brother to a Christmas pantomine
at the London Palladium. It was Aladdin, with Arthur Askey, Una Stubbs,
and Cliff Richard and the Shadows in it. My memories are quite vague of the show, but I can remember one bit as though it was yesterday. The Shadows
playing live, with their white guitars gleaming from the stagelights and the incredible volume. Although I was only 9, I new Hank Marvin was the star for me. ( Cliff was too busy trying to pump Una Stubbs tyres up ). Believe me, 9 year old kids are not into romance.
When I see the drivel on offer at current pantomines, looking back I realise how fortunate we were as kids.
Chris
Hey Chris - I can relate to that - wow Arthur Askey - that brings back some memories.
I saw Cliff & Shadows way back in the 60's and then saw the Shadows here in Australia in 1982.
Hank actually lives fairly close to me. I heard that the Shadows (and I think Cliff) may perform a 50 year reunion tour in UK soon.
There is actually a "Shadows" club here where a lot of die-hards go along with their Fender Strats and play Shadows hits all night - I have been once and I must admit it was pretty good fun. There were some very young guitarists playing some very pure Marvin hits....
Yes, the pantos were great back then - went and saw Cinderella with my parents - I think that was before World War I
Take it easy

Pete,
The Reunion tour is definitely on next year, I know that tickets are soon going on sale. I will put some info on here as soon as I get it.
Chris
p.s. I hope they're not too wrinkly now !!!! ( If they are, they can get the Rolling Stones to support them ).
Korg PA3X Pro 76 and Kronos 61, Roland G-70, Integra 7 and BK7-m, Casio PX-5S, Fender Stratocaster with Fralin pickups, Fender Stratocaster with Kinman pickups, vintage Gibson SG standard
Not too bad - a good friend of mine (singer) sent me a photo of himself and Hank very recently (taken at the Shadows Club) - I must admit that Hank is aging well.
I was heavily influenced by Brian Bennett - I still consider him to be one of the great drummers - his influences clearly included Buddy Rich (my ultimate hero!!).
Great to hear that the tour is real - do you happen to know if it is a world tour?
Will it include Hank, Bruce and Brian?

Looks a lot more sophisticated than the club here.... pretty cool... have you attended it at all?
Cheers
