Does the Nano Serie Support KORG Native Mode?

Post by Westbam »

Before I waste my time to figure out what to do to get the LEDs off any off my Korg Nano series burn from a command send from my computer, I rather ask this first.

Browsing the forums, it should be possible to do it using the (for me) mysterious "KORG Native Mode". But reading again, this didn't regard the Nano series. So here is my Q:

Does the Nano Serie Support KORG Native Mode ?

I have the whole range, Nano Kontrol, Nano Pad and Nano Key, and I aint dirty doing some coding in C# or C++ for it.

Thanks for reading, hope to read a positive answer, my first midi-controllers, woopdie woot!! 8)

Can’t really say for sure without seeing the MIDI implementation for the nanos, which Korg Support said they won’t be releasing.

I can tell you that the SysEx for the native mode in/out request is nearly identical for the pK/mK/Kontrol 49…the only difference is the model# for each. The nanoPAD and KONTROL do not respond to this request.

Thnx for the answer, wonder why Korg would do that?

Would have been cool if the Nano's, and specialy the Kontrol, could recieve some kind off feed back.

Ahh.. well, happy with a device that I can fit in my laptop bag, and for the price it costs, beggars can's be choosers....
