D1200 mk II

I have a Korg D1200 mk II.

When I use a microphone into the XLR of input 2 I can't get any output!

I can alter the trim knob and I can get the clip LED to light up after turning the knob sufficiently. So. it seems the signal is getting that far. However, nothing shows up in the pre-fader screen for channel two.

I've got input 2 assigned to channel 2. I've got the track status light set to orange (and have also tried red). I've got the channel two fader up to unity.

The exact same settings work on channel one! I'm stumped!

It's almost as if the track select button isn't working and the track is left permanently on mute.

Can anyone suggest anything to try?

Alternatively, and I guess it's about time I did this anyway, can anyone confirm whether I can get the whole unit serviced somewhere in the UK?
