Sound out of a Laptop

im having difficulty connecting my laptop to an amp
or just something that will be loud enough for a show.

i just started using the EMX with the laptop so im phyched to do this
but im lost

would i need something like an audio interface with ins and ours to do this?

eeeh bro you gotta be a little bit more specific...... you can hook the lap top directly to the power amp and it would work if you wanted to but I assume this is not just what you want.

What do you want the electribe to do relative to the lap top? Do you want the electribe to go into the computer? Do you want them to be just mixed together? Do you want the computer to go into the electribe?

its just that i need to be able to have my laptop connected to an amp

i dont have a PA so it would need to connect to something like a guitar or bass amp

in regards with the electribe though, im using it in tandem with my computer, nothing special. Maybe a little audio in into the EMX

but yahhhhh
all i got as an output of my comp is a 1/8th inch headphones jack and i doubt the firewire and usb ports will help

Well, you can get a few cables to hook up the lap top to the guitar amp.... Also you can do the same for the electribe but to be able to use them at the same time here's what I would do.

I would get a headphone jack-> 1/4 inch stereo cable.....

or like a headphone to headphone with a 1/4 inch adapter

Then you can send the lap top to the electribe's audio-in and you can hit the audio in thru button....

Then you can use an instrument cable to connect the electribe to your guitar amp.
